Casting News of the Day: The “big, giant search” is over: Amy Adams is Zack Snyder’s Lois Lane.
The three-time Oscar nominee will play opposite Henry Cavill’s Clark Kent in the Sucker Punch director’s December 2012 reboot, Superman: The Man of Steel.
“We did a lot of auditioning,” Snyder told the LA Times, “but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it.” No further information was given as to the extent of the part, but Synder did comment enough to say that “the role is ‘a linchpin’ to the project.”
Other roles previously announced: Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, and Diane Lane as his wife Martha.
