TEXTBOOK: SWEENEY TODD, SWEENEY TODD
A long time ago I said I was going to start doing more menswear posts. I haven’t really lived up to that, so here’s my way of making it up to you. Recently I found a new place to get much better images of menswear so the quality issue I was having is fixed, huzzah. Over the weekend somebody…

Ducktails ”Killin’ The Vibe”
With music becoming increasingly more saturated by the minute (or rather, the second), it’s growing harder for individuals (such as myself) to effectively share the treasures of the world with those wise enough to seek it.
Alright, maybe that’s being a bit overly dramatic, but honestly, it is tough work. I like to imagine the music blogosphere as one big treasure hunting community. This concept allows me to dress up as Indiana Jones during my tune-hunts, and not feel like a complete douche.
Lame excuses for dressing up as Indian Jones aside, one piece of treasure I’ve been digging recently is Ducktails. The band is the solo project of Real Estate’s Matt Mondanile, and is currently on the heels of the release of his latest LP, Ducktails III: Arcade Dynamics. While many will draw undeniable parallels to Mondanile’s work with Real Estate, it is important to realize that Ducktails is not just a mere extension of his previous work, but rather, a glimpse into the multifaceted talent that can occasionally be found in this lovely little place we call planet Earth.

Papercuts - Do What You Will
Elegantly hazy.
Papercuts released a new track last week in anticipation of their new album due out March 1st on Subpop. This makes me excited for 2 reasons. #1 I love Papercuts, they released one of my favorite albums and singles in Future Primitive of 2009. #2 They’re opening for Beach House at the 9:30 Club Feb. 26th, to which I am attending.

Why Cheezburger? Because the visuals for the title track off the trio’s debut album are a veritable catstravaganza.

A Nice Cup of Tea
ckck:
George Orwell’s eleven rules for making tea.
Yes, that George Orwell.
I’m not a tea snob in the slightest, I’m mainly posting this because I found it really amusing in all its meticulous, pedantic glory. It comes off as very British. Which it is, of course.
